Road User Charging Forum

The Road User Charging Forum meets in London to discuss 60 years since the Smeed Report

The Smeed Report, led by R.J. Smeed and supported by a team of economists and engineers, was a study that was published into alternative methods of road user charging and commissioned by the UK Government between 1962 and 1964.

This event on the 10 September will take a look back and reflect on 60 years since the Report was published, focusing on some of the major changes involving policy and practice as well as the technological advances and shifting public perceptions around charging for road use.

We'll hear from academia, industry and local authorities before looking at what the future could hold for a national road pricing scheme.

Please do register your place as soon as possible, on what promises to be a unique and thought provoking event.
